Squirrels is our brand-new youngest section, for children aged four to six. We are setting up our Squirrels section in summer 2022 – dates for the first meetings are not fixed yet, but do please head to our Joining page and fill in the Application Form to get on our waiting list. At the time of writing we have plenty of spaces and we’ll be delighted to welcome new members! Once you’re on the waiting list, we’ll be sure to keep you posted. There’s a bit more information about Squirrels here.
We’ll also need plenty of adult helpers – Squirrels will often want a familiar face around at first anyway, so we’re sure plenty of parents and carers will want help out, but we’ll also be delighted to welcome people who’d like the experience and fun of volunteering to help run the section.
Beaver Scouts are the next youngest section of the Scouting family and can start at the age of 6. Their activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories and, most importantly, making new friends.
We have a Beaver Colony of around 20 Beaver Scouts, run by parent volunteers. If you would like your child to join us, please see the Contact and Joining pages of our website.
If you are interested in volunteering as a Leader, then we would also be pleased to hear from you.
