If you have been up to Pinsent, you will know that we have a fantastic site up there, but the buildings are basic. Improvements to toilet facilities, and wet weather accommodation are needed to bring us up to spec.

Come and see the plans and drawings before our planning application is made on Saturday May 12th 10.00 – 13.00 at Pinsent.

We need to cut back the vegetation around the scout hut and get rid of the cob webs inside. The more hands there are, the quicker it is!
If you can spare anything from 10 minutes to 3 hours between 9.30 and 12.30 on Saturday 17th March  any help will be appreciated!
Please come along with gardening gloves, loppers or secateurs or just a broom and a duster if you have any.
Seriously the more hands make light work!

We are looking to hold our 3rd family camp on 23rd and 24th June. This is a great opportunity for parents and children to camp together and try a hand at some scouting skills. Young people can show off their talents, and parents you can find out what it’s all about! Previous camps have been a lot fun. We have spare kit we can lend, and we’re also great at helping to put up tents!
More info will be out closer to the time, but in preparation, Scout Association rules require every adult who camps to have  a current CRB check. If you think you would like to come please see your child’s section leader as soon as possible and ask for an ‘Occasional Helpers’ form. Many people may already be checked for previous events, and we have a list that Leaders can check so it’s not done twice. You will need to return this as soon as possible with copies of your ID. A list of ID required is on the notice board. Please contact Peter de Salis if you have any questions.
